K.A.R.L – Karl Merriman
Latex Zebra b2b B.S.E b2b Matt Church – 2.5 hour set!
Brixton Trance Underworld returned in style and we now look forward to the first of our regular bi-monthly (every two month) parties.
Next up on the 24th March we return to Friday night clubbing and what a line up we have for our first regular event.
Our special guest for the night is a DJ who in a short time has made a huge name for himself in the scene, Dean Griffiths. Since breaking into the scene in 2009 he has played at some of the best venues around for some huge parties… Including Ministry Of Sound, The Egg, Brixton Academy, Electric Brixton, Gigalum and The Lightbox. He has also graced the White Isle with some tops sets at Amnesia, Space and Bora Bora.
As a producer he has seen releases on Freegrant Music, Pleasure Records and Music Matters Recordings. We can’t to see what Dean has lined up for us.
Below is a free track from Dean to get you in the mood!
Our next guest is no stranger to the 414 as he makes his third trip to Brixton Trance Underworld. Eric Zimmer. Eric’s enthusiasm for the scene shows in his monthly radio show Trance is Here. As a producer he has seen several releases on Delaforce, D.Max and Messany Records.
He has played at events like Trance Sanctuary, Blue Wings Sessions and of course.. Brixton Trance Underworld.
And here is another freebie from our guests!
On warm up duties we have the legendary K.A.R.L… If you partied in the mid 2000’s you’ll have no doubt shaken your thing to his amazing Tech influenced sets.
His own promotion One was massively respected and he guested at all the big parties of that era including Zoology, Twisted, The Gallery, Antiworld… Everywhere.
We await his warm up with much anticipation. His set will be worth arriving early for!
No freebies from K.A.R.L. but here is a link to his Soundcloud page.
Last, but not least, on the guest front is John Wheatland who is the driving force behind Red Matter Promtions. John’s sets at Bioshokk and the Peach Reunion have left crowds begging for more and we’re looking forward to him closing out our event.
And again… Here’s a Soundcloud Link.
BTU is nothing without it’s three stellar residents and Latex Zebra, B.S.E and Matt Church will be delivering a special 2 and a half hour 3 way back to back!
We start at 11 and we’ll see you at the party!
Curtis & Craig
Alex Faulkner b2b Will Renville
We’re back… After a rather long break Brixton Trance Underworld is back… And we mean back. After this special 12 hour event we’ll be going bi-monthly from March… More news on that soon!
So, a 7 till 7 party to start things off and what a line up we have for you.
Our special guest is Trevor McLachlan… Trevor will be known to anyone who partied in town over the last 15 years with his residency at the amazing Twisted parties at the Fridge.
He guested for Heat, Extreme Euphoria, Tidy and Friendz.
After taking a break from the scene he is back and is now involved in the Trance section of the Vinyl Warriors brand which really took the scene by storm last year.
Trevor will be delivering a 90 minute set of top quality trance showcasing his 15 years of experience.
Next up we have Curtis & Craig. A DJ Production duo that came together in 2012 and they haven’t looked back. Their productions have been supported by top names in the Trance scene like Jordan Suckley, AvB, Simon Patterson and Latex Zebra…
As DJs collectively and separately they’ve played at events including Storm, Passion and Trance Action along with a star studded array of DJs.
PHD is really making a name for himself on the production scene and is racking up more and more impressive DJing gigs as well (including this one).
His tunes have been supported by some of the best Trance DJs around. His 90 minute plus (well you might not want to go home at 7am) will be a showcase of his latest tunes and top quality banging trance!
David Murtagh was one of the co-founders of the Prehab labels and parties and makes a welcome return to Brixton Trance Underworld.
Prehab hosted a room regularly at The Gallery and he himself is a regular at the amazing Trance Sanctuary parties. Welcome back!
Another couple of BTU debutants come in the shape of Will Renville and Alex Faulkner. These guys will be on warm up duties but we had to book them after awesome showings at Zoology and Alumni respectively. Both have made names for themselves in a very short time with some big sets for them in future.
We can think of no finer DJs to get things going with a special 2 hour warm up!
The last of our guests and not the least is Lorenzo Barrero. Promoter of another cracking Trance event in London, TRANCElucid. Held residencies and Magnetix and Byte and has guested at some of finest parties around (including Zoology)!
Finally we have 3 of the finest residents around with many years of promoting and DJ experience between them. Matt Church (Swamp/Puzzle Project), B.S.E (Zoology/Techstyle) and Latex Zebra (Zoology/Alumni). All will play solo sets highlighting their skills and passion for music!
We’ll see you there!
Nestled on the Kent / East Sussex border with oodles of flat grassy space, secluded woods, proper toilets, hot showers, miniature ponies and lots more for the kids
Grown from the ’90’s London party scene we’re a small, independent festival for grown up ex-ravers and their kids. With free activities for children and adults all day, bands, musicians, artists, science, theatre, performances and, of course, awesome dance music from some of the UK’s top independent labels. Ale festival bar, local beer and dozens of ciders, bubbles and cocktails, and mountains of street food.
The festival a not-for-profit social enterprise run completely by volunteers, so you can really feel the love.
You can look forward to playing all day and dance all night in a field with you.

I’m over the moon to announce I’ll be playing Ministry of Sound on Friday 5th June, playing in the Baby Box for Agenda & Trance Family UK.

Hope you can make it along to party with me
This extra special party to celebrate 10 years of lunacy will start at 6pm and finish at 7am. This means that those that prefer the day party have a few hours to party and the night owls have a shindig too.
Are you hardcore enough to do both?
OK, with a line up this big I could be writing DJ bio’s for a week! So I’m just giving some detail on our 2 debutants.
Our special guest for Alumni is Skie. A DJ who is suitably old skool having learned to mix in 1990. Since then Skie has played for Labyrinth, Moondance, Raindance and can now be found playing at Old Skool events up and down the country.
We’re so pleased have her along and can’t wait for she has lined up for us.
Kev Walsh has 19 years experience as a DJ and has most recently guested on Skol’s (more about him in a second) Friday show on Flex FM.
He has played at some of the most historic clubs in London including Camden Palace, The Viaduct, Cloud 9 and Fire. For some of the best known brands around.
This summer I’ll be playing at a variety of Venue’s in Ibiza from 22nd – 27th June. Full details below… If you interesting in coming along, feel free to drop me an email

Back in September 2011 after an awesome 6th birthday party the Puzzle Crew decided to take a break from putting on some of London’s best underground dance music parties to concentrate on other projects for a while. Well here we are a year on and the time has flown by. As we came up to our next anniversary, we decided we simply couldn’t let the occasion pass without a good old shin-dig, Puzzle stylee! We at Puzzle HQ are very proud to present:
THE PUZZLE PROJECT 7TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!
We’re delighted to have secured the magnificent Raving Buddha as our venue. A blistering Funktion 1 sound system combined with a party atmosphere and a wide selection of reasonably priced draught beers and liquor make this the perfect place to cause some serious mayhem.
There could be only one line-up for our birthday party. We’ve put together a series of tantalising back-to-back match ups – a roll call of past and present Puzzle resident legends, a team renowned for their ability to provide the ultimate party soundtrack. First up….
ALI CANTOR Vs MATT CHURCH
Fresh from rocking the Egg for Itch Records in August, our first b2b pairing will be getting the crowd’s blood up with a 2 hour set progressing from infectious and funky tech and progressive house through to groovy and uplifting trance.
ANDI LEPPARD Vs PHIL LANKESTER
Next up are two of London’s best-known psy DJs, both regulars at some of the capital’s biggest parties such as Halcyon, Party Proactive and Psychedelic Academy. They’ll be twisting things up with a not-to-be- missed psychedelic set with a progressive flavour.
LK Vs TIMMY WHIZ
Increasing the tempo will be our next resident pairing – LK and renowned party animal Timmy Whizz! From 11-12 they’ll be ramping things up in emphatic style with a selection of the finest harder- edged trance cuts out there!
THE GORDON BENNETT EXPERIENCE!
Two legendary former residents return to grace the decks at our birthday bash – Gordon Darling and Ben Bennett! Separately both are incredible DJs, but when they come together something very special indeed happens. Those of you who’ve caught the Gordon Bennett Experience before know this rare conjunction of musical legends is simply not to be missed!
So there we have it – great music, cheap drinks, a wicked party vibe and – unbelievably – NO COVER CHARGE! Get yourselves down to the Buddha for what looks set to be a fantastic night – don’t be the missing piece!

The Lost Dawn’s Summer Sound System parties are some of the best daytime events out there though for tonight we have Mr Gunn in a darkened DJ booth in the middle of the night!

After last October’s epic ‘Openminded!?’ launch, Roger returns to celebrate another landmark. 200 episodes of his renowned Magic Island radio show, will ensure The Gallery is filled with sun kissed trance. As Shah himself stipulates, expect ‘music for Balearic people.’ FIRST STATE’s collection of ‘bashups’ always ensures Ministry mayhem, the latest entitled ‘Spaceman Slam The Door.’ Not just us who are fans, Armin selected First State for his iconic ASOT 550 celebration! AvB’s Armada imprint will release ALEX M.O.R.P.H.’s new album imminently, his tirade of beats symbolic of ‘An Angel’s Love’ – voted No.2 in ASOT’s Tune Of The Year. Finally the lovable JOCHEN MILLER, a first London gig since that Xmas party.
Kicking off your New Year we proudly present some of London’s finest DJ’s, All of them playing with a slight Twist….
Nick Sentience known to most as probably one of the biggest harder style DJ’s will be showcasing some of his more techy and proggy style material.
Libra9, known to some as Phil Lankester will also be re-organising his bag in favour of some tough proggy psychedelic material… very rarely heard!
Matt Church… Well what could we say about Matt other than he’s certainly one who knows how to get you all revved up with some Techy madness!
N-Kore who recently collaborated with our headliner on some material will also be downing tempo for the night in favour of some more Psychedelic mischief!
We couldnt forget Puzzle’s original mascot…. Timmy Whiz…. He was bouncing off the walls when we asked him to drop everything Hard Dance….. yes you guessed it, he’s dusting off some 12 inches and breaking out the OLD SKOOL!!! ** Glow Sticks will be provided **
We welcome back Route ’99’ who played for Puzzle under his other guise, DJ Akanski…. He Amazed us with his flawless mixing style and kept the crowd wanting more!
And finishing you all off for the night will be DJ Riski with some Tough Breaks and Drum & Bass!!!
So there you have it, a night of fun filled intelligent music, taking you on a twisty journey into 2012, Happy New Year!
The biggest date in the clubbing calendar at the capital’s most iconic music venue. The London debut of Full on Ferry has continued to send forums and blogs into overdrive, with the night widely recognised as one of the biggest New Years Eve events to take place in the capital in recent years. Early Bird tickets have already completely sold out with saver tickets now selling at an incredible speed.
Ferry Corsten will headline of course, bringing to an end a six year hiatus since he last played at the legendary O₂ Academy Brixton. In a UK NYE EXCLUSIVE performance, Ferry stipulates this as being his “biggest ever UK show to date,” representing a new dawn for the acclaimed FOF series. Ferry is an undisputed trance legend whose intricate melange of precision mixing, top tunage and an inimitable flare, can transform any dancefloor into a musical amphitheatre.
Ferry will be joined by a true musical force in Dash Berlin. 2011 has been another great year for Dash as illustrated with his climb in the DJ Magazine poll, this year breaking into the top 10 at number 8. His global popularity can be accredited to his outstanding DJ sets at the world’s leading festivals and prolific productions such as ‘Disarm Yourself’, ‘Apollo Road’ and ‘Better Half of Me’. He brings to a close the finest year of his career at Full on Ferry and will show precisely why he is viewed as one of trance music’s hottest properties.
As one of the most popular figures in dance music, it’s a great pleasure that BBC Radio 1’s Judge Jules has selected Full on Ferry to welcome in 2012. An incredible career that has notched up hundreds of thousands of miles, countless gigs in far-flung destinations and numerous awards, has meant that Jules is firmly established as a household name. The dark and rumbling nature of his new track ‘City Lights’ is sure to shake Brixton to its core as Jules brings his usual blend of past anthems and future classics to the capital once again.
Ramping proceedings up a gear, Brixton goes ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ with Richard Durand. There’s no doubting the celebrated status that ISOS has amongst trance fans, with its trademark beats propelling the series into unchartered territory. Add to that Richard’s outstanding CDJ wizardry and it should come as no surprise that his support was enlisted immediately for Full on Ferry’s London debut.
Marcel Woods ‘Musical Madness’ compilation combines a manic melange of energetic trance, tantalising techno and everything in between. Augmenting this with Ferry’s trance belters makes this lineup addition truly mouth watering. Marcel Woods ‘BPM’ has been a ferocious track in Ferry’s 2011 outings, not forgetting the tech trance stamp of approval on Marcel’s mix of Ferry Corsten ‘Whatever’. A match made in heaven, we’re delighted to add Marcel to the NYE line-up.
Sied van Riel’s unrelenting style has wowed fans and critics alike, meaning he really is an act for the big occasion. This summer’s itinerary is testament, with appearances at Ministry Of Sound’s landmark twentieth birthday and at Full On Ferry Ibiza just two dates on a jam-packed schedule. Indicative of a wide ranging philosophy, expect a raucous buzz when Sied takes to the decks this NYE.
With Lee & Slater and Nick The Kid warming things up in the main arena and further rooms hosted by Bootleg Social, Retox and Spinning Quickly, Full On Ferry London is undoubtedly London’s biggest New Years Eve party. Just one question remains: where will you be when we step into the future?
